flertall: bald patches (it should never be spelt patchs). Add es for the plural of words ending in ch or sh, but not when they end in th. a watch / watches, a search / searches, a match / matches, a peach / peaches, a wash / washes, a wish / wishes, a dash / dashes, a leash / leashes, a bath / baths, a broth / broths, a path / paths, a cloth / cloths (not clothes, that is plural only and a different meaning).
